Microphone Enablement – Carina 2.7.1 Release Announcement

With the launch of our new Carina:Microphone, we’re pleased to unveil Carina 2.7.1 with features including event audio volume control, custom pre-tones and microphone enablement.

With the Carina Classroom Microphone System, teachers avoid vocal strain and enjoy a seamless audio experience that integrates effortlessly with existing Carina classroom speakers. The wireless microphone’s robust design addresses and resolves common issues associated with infrared (IR) microphones, delivering consistent performance without the limitations of line-of-sight restrictions. All Carina releases are available at no additional cost to our subscribers. Carina customers can download the latest firmware from our self-service portal. Please request access to the firmware portal here.

Enable your Carina Microphone

Installing your Carina:Microphone couldn’t be easier. 

Enable your Carina microphone and adjust the volume through our easy-to-use interface.

Here’s how: From your Carina Event Manager interface, select Endpoints ➡️ Individual or Bulk Configuration ➡️ Room (if applicable) ➡️ Audio ➡️ Sound Reinforcement ➡️ Panel Type = Remote Microphone

Additional Microphone Volume Controls

To adjust the sound level of your Carina Classroom Microphone, you can either use the knob on the wall panel or the volume slider. To enable your Output and Input Volume slider, toggle on Advanced View.

Adjust Event Audio Volume

Need to adjust the volume of your pre-recorded audio event?

Sometimes after uploading your custom audio file, you find that it plays too loud or too soft. Carina administrators now have the ability to adjust the volume at the event level 

Here’s How: From your Carina Event Manager interface, select Event  ➡️ Event Configuration ➡️ [Create a New Event or Modify an existing Event] ➡️ Toggle On Audio ➡️ Select your audio file ➡️ Adjust the Volume Adjustment slider.

Customize Pre-Tones

Get your student’s attention before the announcement starts. You can now customize frequency, volume, and duration of pre-tones to events. If you enable the Second Tone, it will play simultaneously with the first tone.

Here’s How: From your Carina Event Manager interface, select Event ➡️ Event Configuration Toggle on Advanced View ➡️ [Create a New Event or Modify an existing Event] ➡️ Toggle On Pre-Tone ➡️ Adjust the frequency slider from 300 Hz to 2000 Hz in increments of 10 Hz ➡️ Adjust the volume ➡️ Save Changes
