ATLANTA, GA (October 5, 2015) – Wahsega Labs (Wahsega), the designer and manufacturer of the highest quality VoIP endpoints in the market, launched its IP Audio Encoder/Decoder today.

Available in single-channel and dual-channel versions, the Wahsega IP Audio Encoder/Decoder can decode IP audio streams to play out over powered analog speakers or encode analog mono audio sources using various codecs (PCM, G.711, G.722 HD, SILK) and then stream over the network to any client that can be configured to receive multicast audio. Each line-in/out of the Wahsega IP Audio Encoder/Decoder operates as an independent channel, which can be easily configured to function as either an input or an output, enabling multiple configuration options from a single device. Every Wahsega IP Audio Encoder/Decoder can be configured to transmit and receive audio using multicast, unicast or VoIP.

The Wahsega IP Audio Encoder/Decoder is powered via Power-over-Ethernet (PoE 802.3af) and is the perfect solution for instore audio, VoIP applications and as an IP Paging VoIP decoder. The IP Audio Encoder/Decoder’s rugged aluminum housing mounts easily in any orientation on bottom or side with three standard 35mm DIN Rail (top-hat) slots. Both the internal circuitry and the housing of the Wahsega IP Audio Encoder/Decoder are designed and manufactured in the USA and can withstand industrial operating temperatures from −40°C to +85°C.

Configuration of the Wahsega IP Audio Encoder/Decoder is simple with an included web interface, accessible via any device’s browser within the local network. The Wahsega IP Audio Encoder/Decoder may be purchased directly from Wahsega at www.wahsega.flywheelstaging.com.
