ATLANTA, GA (November 9, 2015) – Wahsega Labs, Inc. (Wahsega), the designer and manufacturer of the highest quality VoIP endpoints in the market, launched its line of IP Intercoms with InformaCast® and SIP today.
The Wahsega line of IP Intercoms with InformaCast and SIP consists of IP speakers that seamlessly integrate with Singlewire Software LLC’s InformaCast Advanced Notification System. Each intercom acts as a paging speaker to play audio from the InformaCast server over the local network. This audio can include bell schedules, emergency broadcasts and simple real-time voice paging. With support for InformaCast’s high-quality audio (44.1kHz), broadcasts are loud and crystal clear.
In addition to InformaCast support, each of the new Wahsega 2-way IP Intercoms with InformaCast can also register with a SIP PBX such as the Cisco® CallManager, giving users the ability to make and receive SIP phone calls. This is a perfect solution for K-12 schools with the Cisco CallManager and InformaCast both installed on site, and it allows each Wahsega IP Intercom to act as a panic button when the main button is pushed. The panic button initiates a 2-way, full-duplex call to the desired recipient configured within the Cisco CallManager and the intercom.
Configuration of all Wahsega 2-way IP Intercoms with InformaCast and SIP is incredibly simple thanks to the InformaCast server software provided by Singlewire. Once the Wahsega intercoms are connected to the local network where the InformaCast server resides, they will automatically be recognized and registered. In addition, the IP Intercoms may also be configured for SIP through an included Web interface, accessible via any browser on any device in the local network.
