Full-Year Calendar Visibility in the Cloud Portal
Simplifying administrative tasks, the full-year calendar view allows administrators to remotely set and manage bell schedules and announcements for the entire school year. This feature ensures that modifications to daily routines, and modified days, are easily handled from on campus to off-campus. *Requires access to Carina Cloud Portal.
Updated Default Sounds
The Carina Event Manager and Carina Cloud Portal comes preloaded with 21 updated audio files, ensuring high-quality sound for all broadcasts. This library includes 9 distinct tones ranging from traditional school bells to emergency sirens plus 12 safety announcements such as lockdown alerts and severe weather warnings. On the Carina Cloud Portal, the default audio files can be found under “Shared Files – Audio.” Carina subscribers can also download sounds for their Carina Event Manager via Wahsega’s self-service portal. Carina PBX Supports up to 500 SIP Endpoints
The updated Carina PBX now supports up to 500 SIP endpoints, making it a powerful IP PBX solution for larger campuses. Whether for direct communication with IP endpoints or leveraging SIP trunking with existing IP PBX systems, the Carina PBX allows schools to avoid expensive third-party SIP licensing fees. By integrating with the Carina Event Manager, schools can streamline and expand their communication infrastructure efficiently. *Carina PBX firmware 2.4.3 or higher required.
To access the necessary firmware, schools can request access to Wahsega’s self-service firmware portal here. Customers with firmware portal access can log in here to update their systems.
Support for the Carina Radio Controller
The Carina Radio Controller (CRC) bridges communication gaps between personnel using radios and desk phones. With this support, radios can communicate directly with VoIP phones, eliminating the need for additional radios on desks and enhancing overall communication efficiency. *Carina Event Manager 3.1 or higher firmware and Radio Controller 1.1.0 or higher firmware required.
